Who We Are
Garage Door Automation (Potters Bar) Ltd supplies, fits and automates garage doors across Hertfordshire, North London, Essex and Middlesex. We are based at 50 Ladbrooke Drive, Potters Bar, Hertfordshire EN6 1QW, and we trade as garagedoorautomation.com.

Information We Collect
We only collect personal data that you choose to give us. That happens when you:
- Fill in the contact form on this website. That form asks for your name, email address, phone number, door type and a message describing your project.
- Email or telephone us directly.
We do not ask for payment details through this website, and we do not run accounts or logins. There is nothing to register for.
How Form Submissions Are Handled
Our contact form is processed by Formspree, a third party form handling service. Formspree receives what you submit and forwards it to us by email. We do not store form submissions in a database on this website.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you give us solely to answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation, or carry out the work you have asked for. We do not sell your data, and we do not add you to a marketing list unless you have separately asked us to.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. This site also uses localStorage, a similar browser storage technology, for the same kind of purpose. Everything used on this site is listed below.

Strictly necessary storage does not require your consent and cannot be switched off, because without it the site cannot remember the choice you made. Analytics cookies are only ever set after you press Accept on the cookie banner. If you press Reject, no analytics script is loaded at all.
To change your mind later, clear the site data for garagedoorautomation.com in your browser settings and reload the page. The banner will appear again.
Google Analytics
If you accept optional cookies we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use this site, for example which pages get looked at and how long people stay. That information is aggregated and does not identify you personally. The data is processed by Google, and you can read Google's own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Third Party Processors
- Formspree, which handles contact form submissions and forwards them to us by email.
- Google Analytics, for website usage statistics, and only if you accept optional cookies.
- Google Fonts, which serves the two typefaces this site uses. Your browser requests these files from Google when the page loads.
Data Retention
We keep enquiry emails for as long as we reasonably need them to deal with your enquiry and to keep our own business records, and then we delete them. Where a quotation turns into a job, we keep the job record for the period our accountant and HMRC require. Google Analytics data is kept according to the retention setting on our Google account.
Your Rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, and to have it deleted. To do any of those, email gdauto@btinternet.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
